Come one, come all! Mobile Skills Crew Winter Rendezvous, central Wisconsin
You’re invited to be part of this burgeoning tradition at the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station (http://www.uwsp.edu/CNR/cwes/) in Amherst. Renew acquaintances, hike and preview 2009 projects. On Sunday morning join a spirited discussion that asks how we best focus our trail- and people-building energies. Hey — staff buys Sunday lunch and the IAT needs your voice!
For more information and to register, please contact Tim Malzhan, IAPTF Director of Field Operations (800-227-0046, tim@iceagetrail.org). |

Come one, come all! Statewide trail construction project, southeastern Wisconsin
We would love to see you at this statewide, long-weekend trail-building project:
Cedar Lakes Segment, Washington County May 14th-17th Ice Age Trail Atlas Map 85f
Our first project out of the gate in 2009 establishes a new section of the Ice Age Trail at Polk Kames, near Slinger. The Washington/Ozaukee County Chapter has worked hard to prep this event and welcomes your help.
Come on out for all or any part of the event...whatever amount of time your schedule permits is valuable to us. We'll feed you and, if you are interested in helping for multiple days, provide a place to camp close to the work site.
Participants interested in trail building will receive hands-on training in advanced trail construction techniques by volunteer crew leaders as part of our Mobile Skills Crew program. No experience is necessary! If trail building isn't your cup of tea, we have plenty of other roles for you, including volunteer support and event publicity.
Please check back here a few weeks before the project for registration information. Preregistration is key to helping us plan the project with your needs in mind.
Give us a call (800-227-0046) or send us an email (info@iceagetrail.org) with any additional questions about the project. |
