Trail Updates and Reports

To report damage or other condition updates on the Ice Age Trail, please email info@iceagetrail.org or call (608) 798-4453 or (800) 227-0046.

The Ice Age Trail continually evolves toward completion as trailway protection and volunteer trail building progress. The route of the Trail is not static. Some changes are small, such as a slight relocation to take in a more sustainable route. More dramatic changes occur when a new segment is opened.

The best way to track the evolution of the Ice Age Trail is to become a member of the Ice Age Park & Trail Foundation. You’ll receive our quarterly magazine Mammoth Tales, which features articles on trail building and trailway protection accomplishments.

Before you head out for a hike, we recommend the Ice Age Trail Atlas and the Ice Age Trail Companion Guide as the best sources for maps and descriptions of your destination..
